Professional Experience
Daniel Holahan joined the staff of The Thompson & Lichtner Company, Inc. as a weatherproofing specialist in 2006. Prior to his employment at Thompson & Lichtner, Mr. Holahan has over 20 years experience in the roofing industry. He has been a member of the Roofer’s Union Local 33 since 1985, starting as an apprentice with Local 33 and completing a four year apprenticeship program. Mr. Holahan has gone on to serve on the executive board of Local 33 and has been extensively trained in OSHA safety. Mr. Holahan has extensive field experience with the installation of PVC, EPDM, TPO, SBS, green roofs, built-up, slate, shingle and metal roofs and their tie-ins to walls, parapets and roof edges, his roof knowledge ranges from slate to the latest in sustainable vegetated roof systems. In addition to his experience with roof installation, Mr. Holahan has held positions of estimating, problem solving, and writing roofing specifications. He has both supervised and acted as project manager on many multi-million dollar roofing projects, as well as starting maintenance departments at several roofing companies. While at Thompson & Lichtner, he has attended many courses and seminars to keep up with the latest technology of roofing systems and related components. Also while at Thompson & Lichtner, Mr. Holahan has been trained in conducting EFVM (electronic field vector mapping) testing. He created and maintains ILD Northeast a subsidiary of Thompson & Lichtner. ILD Northeast is affiliated with International Leak Detection of Chicago and Toronto, with branches in Europe, New Zealand and Australia
